Network Security
Network Security commonly refers to users, passwords and permissions. More formerly, Network Security refers to availability, confidentiality and integrity of network assets. Assets a network security plan protects will generally include information, applications and systems, so the network security plan will aim to keep systems and information accurate and online or within reach of those who should have access, and off limits to those who should not have access. Elements of network security include online systems, access policies, structures of authority, physical access and disposal procedures. Sensitive information such as financial statements, HR records, email, and personally identifiable information calls for specific attention to ensure compliance with internal policy and statutory requirements.
